The "coughing blood" shot felt like something new - there was something similar in an episode of THE GUARDIANS at the same time (obviously not old enough to see movies like THE WILD BUNCH at the time).

Except Mark of Gideon was not shown on BBC 1 until November 1971. Is Chimes of Big Ben from The Prisoner a more likely influence for Toblin? But UFO blew it by having Straker fight A.Stuntman instead of his alien clone.

The British tradition of eating fish battered and fried in oil may have been introduced to the country by the Chuts, Spanish and Portuguese Jews who lived in the Netherlands before settling in the UK. These immigrants arrived as early as the 16th century, the main immigration to London being during the 1850s. (2)(5)(6][7) They prepared fried fish in a manner similar to pescado frito, which is coated in flour then fried in oil. 7] Fish fried for Shabbat for dinner on Friday evenings could be eaten cold the following afternoon for shalosh seudot, palatable this way as liquid vegetable oil was used rather than a hard fat, such as butter. (7)(8) Charles Dickens mentions
"fried fish warehouses" in Oliver Twist (1838), 2) and in 1845 Alexis Soyer in his first edition of A Shilling Cookery for the People, gives a recipe for
"fried fish, Jewish fashion", which is dipped in a batter mix of flour and water before frying.
However, "fish the Jews' way" in most English cookery books usually refer not to plain fried fish, but to escabeche, fish fried then pickled in vinegar. (10)

For years my only experience of THE PHANTOM PLANET was the photo story in the SPACEMEN 1965 Yearbook - never dreamed that one day in the 21st Century I'd be able to watch the film in real life.

This verdict shows that this administration and their peons are not able to invoke fear in all citizens.
I am just one woman, one human, one citizen of DC disgusted by this reality that we are forced live in. I feel sorry for the prosecutors really, who must be burdened by Trump's irrational and unfounded hatred for his fellow man. He's a crazy person who's in charge of the most powerful nation. Knowing that I can stand in front of 12 of my fellow citizens and be found not guilty for standing up for basic human rights makes me feel like, despite the scary times we live in, we have hope for the future.

STATEMENT OF COUNSEL, TEZIRA ABE AND EUGENE OHM

We are pleased with the verdict but this is a trial that should never have happened. Twelve D.C. residents, numerous taxpayer-paid court staff and public defenders had to spend time and resources on trying a case that has no place in a free democracy.

This case is a warning from the Department of Justice that they will have the backs of ICE goons, even when three grand juries reject their baseless charging decisions. And though we're pleased with the result, Ms. Reid cannot get back the two nights she spent in jail because ICE wanted to teach her a lesson.

The Department of Justice can continue to take these cases to trial to suppress dissent and to try and intimidate the people. But in the end, as long as we have a jury system, our citizens will continue to rebuke the DOJ through speedy acquittals.
