Insurance shouldn’t be tied to employment. But since we can’t get it together on that big picture goal, the least we can do is protect the ACA.

Which is exactly why the GOP has fought to get rid of ACA. Big insurance companoes give big $$$ donations to try and bring back pre-existing conditions and prior authorization requirements.

Before ACA, breast implants, elective or reconstructive were considered a pre-existing condition.

One of my late family members was a long term congressional staffer back then.

Years later when he got cancer he refused genetic testing and advised his adult son against it because he was worried his son would be discriminated against in the future if GINA were repealed. He knew it wasn't safe.

It was so bad that Bush has to sign GINA law make sure insurances would not use people’s dna as preexisting conditions

One of the most important provisions of the ACA was eliminating pre-existing conditions exclusions from insurance plans.

Folks need to be reminded that if the ACA goes away, so does that provision.

UPDATE: Now that 8 Senate Dems folded to Trump—Republicans demand tougher abortion restrictions to extend Obamacare funds.

What? Moving goal posts? Lucy and the football? Who Could Have Seen This Coming??

This is why you don't back down from a bully! My God! My kingdom for a spine for Democrats.
