Aurora color guide! What creates the different shades?

Different atoms getting "excited" at different altitudes

The bright reds are a sign of a particularly intense event

I have been VERY concerned about this ever since that crackpot was appointed to head the HHS. Millions of Americans depend on SSRIs for their mental health, and these assholes may just decide they're bad because, well, they're crackpot assholes. RFK is a severe threat to public health.
First they came for reproductive rights.
Then they came for vaccines.
Now they’re coming for mental health.

There is zero evidence SSRIs cause mass violence.

You know what does? Guns — and the fact that anyone can access weapons that kill hundreds in seconds.

Legitimately upset that the Kardashian style face has become the standard for beauty and plastic surgery.
It went so far that now Tori Spelling, a woman with a distinct and unique face all her own, is sliding towards Kardashian.
Fuck you! Both that family and their surgeons/makeup artists!

nsfw content gets a rap of being easy money or "the dream" but every single one of us is wondering what's going to happen when the life we've built for ourselves is going to get taken away by law or platform TOS

New games weren't scarce in the 90s, but you could've easily played most of the hits. Now there's so many masterpieces that everyone has their personal endless backlog of amazing content.

AI slop shouldn't be able to thrive in a market bursting with so many human-made, genuine banger pieces of art.

you can't just bring back austin powers. the franchise wrote itself into a corner after he volunteered to stay behind forever in the shagadelic dimension to save foxxy and vanessa. they already brought him back once without explaining how he escaped from fembot island, the audience won't buy it

There are 1,700 ballots that need signature confirmation. That is enough to change the election.

For all my friends and others planning or even considering going to MFF? It's under the umbrella of all this shit going down in and around Chicago, be careful, seriously and truly be careful.
Kyle Kingsbury is not a journalist. He is not an op-ed writer.

He is a computer safety researcher.

And he has written one of the most compelling, comprehensive accounts of the ongoing hell in Chicago that you could possibly imagine.

In under 1600 words.

There was a time when 90% of Americans would have understood how deranged in every conceivable way a post like this is

I mean if you showed this to any American in 2001 they wouldn't even understand what they were looking at or what sort of deranged creature could possibly speak like this in public

For years, I’ve known that Maitlis was a key player in the institutional and orchestrated attacks on Trans+ youth

Now, emboldened and clearly unrepentant, she's flaunting her complicity

The world can now see her for who she is - someone willing to weaponise their power against the vulnerable

We’ve recently learned that if you have undeniable candidates sometimes people still directly give them so much money that they briefly ask people to *stop.*
I'm going to actively say at this point that I don't think people should donate to any Dem-run PACs. What guarantee do we have that they won't give the money to cowards to stave off primary challengers?

I mean, it rather feels like the reverse will happen.
