The tiny robin that settled in to my garden a few weeks back is longer quite as tiny, and is merrily picking fights with anything that moves.

Went to bookshop for a new fantasy hardback. Literally nothing grabbed me. Roughly 90% of the shelves were taken by lookalike romantasy, and of the rest there wasn’t anything for me.

Fad publishing - get over it please.

We've had 200 Days of #UKBookIndustryClicheBingo2025. Who are the contenders to win Cliche of Year?

'Unforgettable' is bubbling under in fourth place.
'Significant' is in bronze medal position.
'Moving' is stuck in bridesmaid.
2023's winner 'Major' has the lead, but it's still very close...
