I am not big on resolutions. Perhaps because a year is both too big and too small to assign to one thing. Instead, it’s been my practice for several years to end one year with a wish for the next.

Sam’s commitment to creating opportunities through contract work where we might not be able to offer full time positions should not be understated here. It’s been a hard couple years in games, but this mattered to him, to our team, to our story, and game. Our ENTIRE writing team for BL4 is amazing!!
Borderlands 4 is our most ambitious game yet. In service of that, I’m happy to say I’ve gotten to work with some of the funniest people I know as contract writers. I’ll be retweeting them as they post about it (though not all may still on this site).

When i was in high school, i played a lot of borderlands 2 with my brothers— “played” is a generous term. i spent a lot of time dying, thinking “i could write some of this.” and you know what? Eventually i did, because i can announce i was a contract writer on Borderlands 4!

When I was 12, I used to smear lines of black eyeshadow all over my face and call it my "Lilith makeup." When I was 17, I stayed home from school to watch the Borderlands 3 announcement. Now, I get to announce that I was a contract writer on Borderlands 4 :,)

I’m glad more folks are finding their way here. It’s a nicer a place. I hope it stays that way. That said, I’ve also found I’m a happier person without social media in general. So, I don’t and won’t post much. Take care out there, friends!

I've spent the last couple weeks really sick with Covid, which feels incredibly on par with the rest of 2023. But rather than dwell on 2023, I will share with you the wish for 2024 I made for the incredible group of writers I'm lucky to work with each day:
