The Kevin Bacon game is for films, but if you count live theater, my Bacon number is two.
Damn, I wish I knew who was in the Cabinet’s private plane that time it landed in New Hampshire. If I could have grabbed a photo of Lewandowski flying home after a booty call in DC…
In many cases, these aren’t planned actions, but bystanders stepping up. Of course, ideally, you don’t go do this alone.

The absolutely brilliant pitch perfect troll of getting targeted by your opponent with virulent Islamophobia and then immediately releasing an ad in all Arabic.
أنا اسمي زهران ممدان وعم رشّح حالي لأكون العمدة الجديد في مدينة نيويورك
There were far more reprints than I was aware of. Frankly, this is how I think Secret Lairs should work.
It was a common in Throne of Eldraine, but damn, that is some expensive bling upgrade.
I’ve got a working NES hooked up right now. Thinking about getting a new TV and I don’t think it’ll have inputs that will work with it. Not sure what I’m going to do.
Had blind packs of fidgets this year.
Some kids remembered that I had Pokemon cards last year. I’m the “no candy” house, and a contender for favorite house in the neighborhood.

Actually this tweet is perfect because the torment nexus tweet is about completely missing the point of literature, and in this case the literature is the torment nexus tweet
"Torment Nexus" comes from this tweet and is often used now to describe the kind of negative experiences you can have with social networks, like getting dogpiled or harassed or being pushed into conflict
I don’t have sidewalks, but we’ve got a great trick-or-treating neighborhood. That there were kids on bikes and skates all over this street was a major selling point for our house when we were shopping.
It turns out my neighborhood is like the "prime trick or treat" spot for the base I'm at because there's great house density + level terrain+ sidewalks on both sides of the street + higher rank designation (aka upper middle class equivalency).

My wife counted 300+ people at our house in 2 hours.
I keep seeing TikTok posts about how no kids seem to stop by their house for trick-or-treating anymore and it's almost always a neighborhood with no sidewalks and far apart houses.
@downupright.bsky.social I was thinking about DJ Colony, given the politics going sideways in T&T. Have you heard from him lately?
It’s so consistent. The framing of this shot is so deliberate.
Like, how can you tell this is going to suck, given everything else given the visual vocabulary of the rest of the movie?
My wife in theater school did a talk on the set design in Lawrence of Arabia. Whenever there’s something vertical in the shot, like columns, walls, it’s someplace that sucks for him and you’re anxious for old TE to get out of there back to someplace with a horizontal composition.
Biggest, widest screen you can find, always.
Largely why I didn’t sign up for it. My ADHD would find the ongoing bureaucracy overhead too great to keep up with, and had zero confidence they’d uphold their end of it after the ten years.
I remember thinking, when they were rolled out, that 10 years for public service student loan forgiveness was an ambitious bet on politics being the same 10 years later. Ha. hahaha, hahahaha.
You want faerie curses? Because that kind of thinking is how you get faerie curses.
Something my mom impressed on me as I was getting started on my own is that denying yourself pleasures of life can’t make you rich, it’ll only make you poor AND miserable.
“At the same time, more than half of Gen Z members say they are struggling to make ends meet, yet a majority buy themselves a small treat, such as a pastry, coffee, or sweet, at least once a week. That can lead to overspending…”

I overheard some seniors commenting that there weren’t as many young people as they would have hoped.
Maybe it was way more than seven million? "8% of Americans say they participated in a No Kings protest on October 18."

p.s. Older people are really showing up.
The number of students who didn’t question it, though. Just have seen it so many times they stopped paying attention to what the words mean.
The school where I work, the social studies teacher had a structure for research projects and one of the items was “One Fun Fact about…” but when they were assigned readings about the Rwandan Genocide, some of the students were like “What’s fun about genocide?”
