Saturday's game between Wales and South Africa shows the rebuild that Steve Tandy has got on his hands.

My piece for @talkrugbyunion.bsky.social on Wales' Autumn Campaign and asking the question what is next for Welsh Rugby, any shares appreciated.

Wales find learnings but off-field instability could stall any progress
It was a chastening day for Wales against South Africa, but amid the autumn campaign there were still some positives for Steve Tandy and his side, despite the ongoing uncertainty surrounding the domes...

The rugby community was shocked and saddened to see the great Penarth Athletic Club destroyed by fire over the weekend.

You can contribute to the rebuild here:

“There aren’t enough players in Wales for 4 teams”

The aggregate score for the 4 regions with teenagers and semi-pros on the benches:

79-57

Clearly the optimum solution is to keep 4 regions and cut team Wales!

Get in Scarlets doing west Wales proud.

In a week that WRU contrived to watch the regions fail and collapse. Two confident wins, and one close away game is a massive middle finger

There's a very simple solution to Wales contractually needing to provide four teams

And at the same time gutted the regions leaving them to play without even 23 players to pick from

(Full credit to Cardiff winning away despite this)

@ospreysofficial.bsky.social are we getting a team sheet at some point? I know half the squad is propping up the national team right now (along with our other "West Wales" region), so I get it if you're trying to find players

Hub & Spoke design is a concept in IT & Data used to facilitate access and reliability

But I also think it can and should be used in TTRPG Adventure & Setting design.

Google at its peak was basically the best information retrieval system in human history and they and every competitor decided going from there to “you didn’t want answers you wanted half-assed auto-complete 80%-wrong hallucinations” in a few years was the right idea

Every time I watch Feyi-Waboso being class for England, I'm reminded how badly the WRU fumbled the bag over him wanting to continue his uni studies.

Glad he's thriving

Do either of these teams want to win?
November 15, 2025 at 7:08 PM
Genuine question. What do Wales do well? Kicking game ammateur. Defence mid tier. Attack easily read. Lineout clunky. Scrum nothing to write home about.

Wales are in this game purely due to two moments of magic by Dan Edwards that's it.

Blair Murray, at the heart of everything good (for Japan)
November 15, 2025 at 5:58 PM
I think Blair Murray more than aything has just highlighted how fortunate Wales were to have Leigh Halfpenny.
November 15, 2025 at 5:52 PM
I believe.
England prove that this NZ side is there for the taking, as Scotland were so close to doing.

You've never had a better shot, Wales. Don't let us down.

Blair Murray's record under the highball for Wales in his last three tests-

v Japan (Test 1): Won 2 of 7 highballs hung on him

v Japan (Test 2): Won 3 of 6 highballs hung on him

v Argentina today: Won 1 of 8 highballs hung on him
I’m just gonna say it. Wales would be a better team without Blair Murray.

No amount of occasional attacking brilliance outweighs the fact that every high ball fired down his throat is guaranteed possession for the opposition.

A liability we cannot afford.
