Pico-8 is amazing. Love that you can put together a game that feels like a classic 80s arcade game and it's immediately playable. Check this game out: it's a lot of fun!

I'm glad I got back into game dev.

It's like a special combo-hobby that let's you tap into the human experience.

Big fan of it!

Also, as always, no AI here. Just human-made games.

This is really cool and personal. Love this.
We did something different with the credits for Demonschool. We used this format: name, title, lengthy description of what they did. Often you see credits in games where you don't know what the credited developer was actually responsible for. We wanted to give people proper, actual credit.

Love the aesthetic. The combat menu reminds me of Atlus' ability to put style into even the most mundane elements of a game, and the FIT system seems interesting. I'm weirdly most interested in unlocking new color palettes despite my love and nostalgia for the gameboy filter.

Very cool, can't wait!

This looks amazing. Loving the Mega Man Legends aesthetic that I've been desperately missing in games since... well, since MML2.

When I lived abroad in China, slow cooked jerk chicken and is what I missed the most.

After coming back, Liangpi was what I missed the most here in the US (and now must search desperately for it in every city I go).

As I get older, I'll miss both, because wooo, spicy food is hard on the body now

#TheRunningMan has many opinions. Here's mine:

1) the "what if the tech bros & fascists win?" feels timely.

2) Powell's Richard = our rage against this world, which punishes good people

3) plot conveniences do abound

4) "let's stop the greedy people who control us" really hits hard by the end

My wife and I played the @shrineslegacy.bsky.social demo recently. We hugely recommend! Support this indie team! Really enjoyed a 16 bit Zelda-like WITH COUCH CO-OP. That's all we want in our lives. Easy to pick up and play, fun story so far, easy-on-the-eyes UI, and a lot of promise. #indiegaming

Really enjoyed playing the #Dispatch demo from @adhocstudio.com . I was looking forward to a great Telltale narrative game but found myself enjoying the Dispatching even more (esp. managing a team of misfits and their quirks). I definitely recommend it! (I just hope they add more gamepad support!)

This is Jack Kirby for me. A Man who just wanted to create endless bombastic cosmic worlds and be paid a liveable wage for it. Who are other creators who just made stories and never seemed to do anything terrible to anyone?
As the writers who defined my adolescence reveal themselves to be monsters, I'm ever-more thankful for Stephen King.

A man who wants nothing more than to write stories and tell them to the world.

We're lucky to have him.

3 things I learned from #SpiritedAway:

1. An abandoned theme park is the perfect place to stop and grab a bite.
2. This place is exactly why we have unions.
3. Nothing wins hearts like crying yourself to sleep in front of other people.

First post in a while has to be about Gina Brillon.

Goddamn. Came for the jokes about being growing up in NYC as a Bronxite.

Stayed for the deeply moving messages about parenting, identity and being better to each other.
