"Tonight, we learned the Pentagon is escalating its review of me into "an official command investigation."

If #Shit4Brains or #WhiskyLeaks think they can stop me from doing my job and serving the American people, they've got the wrong guy."

They're embedding an AI in Kindles that is empowered to analyze our books without our permission and tell the reader about them....likely inaccurately.

We have no recourse.

It should be mandatory that all credit cards and loans be paired with a savings account with an identical interest rate to combat predatory lending.

Kelly: He runs around on stage talking about lethality and the warrior ethos.. That’s not the message that should be coming from the Secretary of Defense… He runs around on a stage like he’s a 12 year old playing army. It’s embarrassing.

ICE raids are cruel, inhumane, and do nothing to serve public safety.

My responsibility is to be the mayor to each and every person that calls this city their home. That includes millions of immigrants— of which I am one.

Behind this important reversal is a member of the Coast Guard who saw what was happening and had the courage to leak it to the press. That person deserves serious praise.

When I started writing my current WiP I was nervous I wouldn’t have enough story to make it to 100k words. I’m now at just over 110k words and there’s a solid chunk of novel left. 😬

Medicare for All would save $450B a year.

Every dollar spent on food stamps generates $1.50-$1.80 in economic activity.

Each dollar going to low-wage workers adds $1.20 to the economy overall.

It’s not about what this country can or can’t afford.

It’s about priorities.

The thing that frustrates me the most about writing serials as how people don't take serials seriously until they are ebooks and paperbacks.

My serialized novel is still a novel even though I am publishing it episodically. I go just as hard for my serials as I do for my regular books.

AOC: "It is unconscionable that what we are debating right now is legislation that will give 8 senators over $1 million a piece & we're robbing people of their food assistance & healthcare to pay for it. How can we vote to enrich ourselves by stealing from the American people?"

This deal to reopen the government is fucking disgraceful.

Tens of millions will lose their healthcare. Trump will be emboldened.

This is exactly what’s wrong with Democratic Party leadership and why we need more people in Congress who will actually hold the line.

These 8 useless Democratic Senators are all wealthy and have feathered themselves a lovely retirement nest.

They don't need to be in these positions anymore.

They can amble away into the privileged nothingness that defines their spinelessness and lack of courage.

Demand more and better, folks.

i think this is key. taking the deal would amount to taking the blame. it would turn a clear political victory into an unambiguous defeat.
If the Dems blink after all of this, for a deal that all but ensures no ACA subsidies in 2026 anyway, then what was the purpose of letting the shutdown go for 40 days in the first place?
November 10, 2025 at 12:56 AM
Next year when everyone’s insurance premiums skyrocket and republicans blame it on democrats and lots of people continue to say “both sides are the same” even after the shutdown and everything that went into stopping this is gonna be real wild.
