I'm at a gig on my own again, as I am the vast majority of times. Sometimes it feels fine and great and I'm able to enjoy the moment but sometimes it makes me feel so lonely I wish there was a universal gig buddy system. But immediately I think that'll just be full of weirdos so it puts me off 🤣😥😶

I'm in Rome for a week of working, meandering & crying as I mark the 2 years since my mother's death. As a professional dancer she travelled all over the world & I see this as a kind of pilgrimage. Tomorrow is a sad anniversary but I will be eating my way through Trastevere & raising many a glass ❤️

On one hand I love being comfortable enough to go to gigs on my own. But it's hit or miss whether I'll feel supremely lonely once there, in a way that I'll feel like I might as well just stay home... Tonight was not one of those nights and thank god for London's still thriving live music scene!
