Pete Hegseth is right: Mark Kelly shouldn't be a senator.

He should take Hegseth's job and be SECDEF.

I'll be on MSNOW at 4pm to talk more about it.

Tom Friedman’s piece in the NYT today again brings up the specter of Neville Chamberlain in ‘39. I disagree.

A better analogy is saying to Hitler: “keep the Sudetenland, don’t worry about the Holocaust, & we’ll give you a few years to rearm to attack into Belgium again. Let’s sign that!”
@nicollewallace.bsky.social @mcfaulmike.bsky.social @benrhodes.bsky.social @markhertling.bsky.social have we lost all ability to put oneself in someone else’s shoes? If not, then why is this hard? We’d never consider a proposal like the one we/Putin (gross) offered Ukraine

I've been a local elected official in PA and the idea that anyone could commit voter fraud at scale here is insane. We have hand-marked paper ballots that vary from township to township, for God's sake. When school boards are up, they vary every 2-3 miles if there are wards.

When people insist that Hillary or Harris won, but Trump cheated or had powerful influencers behind the scenes or were robbed by Dark Forces We Can't See, or were beaten by rubles or oil or whatever, they're no different from the MAGA people in 2020.

HRC and Harris lost fair and square.

I support the Priess Plan.
I already have a counterproposal:

Russia pulls forces/proxies out of Ukraine—all of it—and removes offensive weapons from regions bordering Ukraine.

Pays for all war damage—and reconstruction.

All Russians engaged in war crimes stand trial.

And Ukraine can join any alliance it damn well pleases.

I don't not trust this administration to do whatever they can to stay in power and hide from accountability.

One way to guard against this is a complete blow out with record level participation across the country, similar to what we recently saw in the special election.

Since this is basically a Kremlin wishlist, it would be a disaster if Trump tried to shove this down Zelensky's throat. Let's hope that doesn't happen. Right now, Trump has actually gotten tougher on Putin (sanctions, allowing ATACMs strikes into Russia).
Story here with exclusive new details: The Trump admin and Russian officials have drawn up a sweeping new proposal to end Russia’s war in Ukraine that envisions major concessions from Kyiv and urged President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to accept it...
