Saved up and bought us a new family kitchen table. Arrived today and excited to put it together 😁😁 I've been deep cleaning the house while waiting for it. Resetting 🙏
Sweet tub going down quickly! Lots of trick or treaters in amazing outfits. The best so far was a 2 year old that was very pleased with their mask 😁

In other rapid thoughts I heard this conversation talking about how people leading might be tough right now...continuous company global lay offs, adapting to the rise of AI, state of the world...I simply nodded throughout that. I get that.
I'm trying habit stacking at the moment..i .go for a walk in the morning, trying to drink more water, varied exercise activities in the week..I much prefer variety and little good choices throughout a week. Not eaten the most healthy tho, so need to work on that..
I am using perplexity at work and it has helped with me documentation creation or brainstorming ideas like factors in reviewing a set of tests. Very useful and taken me half the time to do these things...it is an advanced Google search though 🤪
Study by AtTask..64% of people state confusion about roles, tasks and duties were the driving force to conflict. Very interesting! I have observed this on many occasions over the years.
Interesting learning about the 5 styles of conflict. I naturally go towards collaborating. I am learning though that there are situations where it is appropriate to use the other styles: compromising, avoiding, accomodating and competing. So many layers to think about for conflict moment.

I have been feeling slightly lost professionally this year. Sometimes though maybe it's good to get lost in a maze to then find the path through, so going through the motions to figure it all out.
Lots of thoughts so speedy posts tonight. I've been worried about the job market, the future in general, but did a meditation session yesterday that reminded me to accept the state of things. It helped me a lot and felt the stress levels melt away.
I've been doing a course on conflict management this week. Well managed one topic as other priorities coming in. Main takeaway right now is use a style of collaboration to solve the conflict. I like this. Much more to do in the course though.
Thanks. I've been using the trading 212 app.
Made 80p on my Nvidia sell (originally put £10 in). A bit of an experiment. Much prefer automatic payment every month into index funds etc and then I don't have to think about it.
I've enjoyed Instagram and other social media these last months. A form of escapism in a way. Time to take back control. Removed the app and muted a news feed I was getting on my phone 🙌

If people are hungry, you feed them.

If they are homeless, you house them.

If they’re sick, you give them medical care.

If they’re cold, you give them clothes.

It isn’t hard.

Far too many people are more than happy to sit in judgement of others rather than helping.

I am pretty exhausted as I wake up for a few hours every night at the moment. I get like this sometimes. I know it will sort itself out in the end.
Journalling and working through things in my mind. Written an article about balancing leadership and individual contributor outcomes. Other things in my mind are how I lean into Buddhism practices more, how the feck I sort out waking up in the night, balancing work and half term..list goes on!
Taken an impromptu day off tomorrow. Very busy at work but team members are fab - so can relaaxxx 😁😁
Completed a family walk (6 miles). Walked past a deer park, through fields of sheep, through woods and rolling countryside 🙌 good to get outside.
Wins of the week done and posted on linkedin. Helps me move my mindset to focusing on the positives 🙌
