One of the hardest moments of marking out I ever did in a movie was when Bruce was telling Batman Beyond how to fight Joker and Batman Beyond said “I like to talk too.” And you realize 1. ohhh shit Joker’s never fought Terry before and 2. If you haven’t caught on yet Terry is a Peter Parker.

Still haven't seen Frankenstein '25, Hedda, Avatar 3, No Other Choice, Train Dreams, Ella McKay, Knives Out 3, Marty Supreme & The Secret Agent, regardless, Pretty confident, at least my top 2 may not change (Sinners & Sentimental Value). OBAA's bronze position could be threatened. Idk, will see.

Those film analysts need to give up that "audiences want originality" take because that corpse has been in the ground for a while.
In 2025, out of the 20 top ten movies worldwide, only TWO movies (Sinners, Weapons) are legitimate originals.
Everything else is an IP/adaptation of something else.
And that includes F1 and OBAA (racing culture/brand, Thomas Pynchon novel adaptation).

The real issue I have with that originality take is that it's just a bullshit disguise for their real thought which is "I don't like these movies and wish popular movies catered to my tastes".
They should give that take up for eternity but they won't because it's instant clickbait just like all of the takes about anything Marvel, CGI, Box office™️, etc.

It's weird I haven't seen anyone suggest Zachary Quinto as a possible candidate for Brainiac. If you look at his "non-human analytical guy" roles like Spock or Rudy from Invincible, and apply that to a more cold and calculating role like Brainiac, he'd honestly be perfect.
