Not that anyone has asked but here is my plan for peace in Ukraine. Russia withdraws to pre 2014 borders. Ukraine joins EU and NATO. If Russia behaves they get sanctions relief after all seized assets are sold off to pay for a reconstruction fund. Simple

FFS Starmer… #Brexit has cattle-trucked the UK economy, while the Brexit *deal* has done nothing to mitigate that damage.
It is not good enough to decry the situation without doing anything substantive to remediate the damage. That is weak.
“we must all now confront the reality that the Brexit deal we have has significantly hurt our economy”

BREAKING: Trump Just Distanced Himself From Hegseth Mid-Scandal
Trump avoided defending his own War Secretary and refused to rule out illegality — the writing may be on the wall.

Trump has become more and more nasty, hateful, and abusive to reporters with each passing day. They are just trying to do their jobs, asking questions Americans deserve to know. If he were an ordinary person, we could blame it on dementia.

This sentence was cut from the broadcast of the 2025 Reith Lectures for "legal reasons" - but do those supposed legal reasons make sense?

I'd have more sympathy for that position if only Starmer wasn't deliberately escalating some of the worst Tory policies aimed at inciting racism, sexism, and homophobia (specifically transphobia). These are *cheap* to walk back, not intrinsically popular, and *they kill people*.

Note two things about GOP Rep. Mike Turner's solid remarks on Hegseth's reported order:

1) Turner: "I agree that that would be an illegal act."

2) Implicitly confirms the Washington Post's reporting that this information has been kept from Congress
Rep. Mike Turner on the double strike to comply with Hegseth's orders: "If that occurred, that would be very serious and I agree that would be an illegal act…This is completely outside of anything that has been discussed with Congress and there is an ongoing investigation."

I've been extremely critical of Labour's comms lately, but this is much better from Starmer. It's critical that he now should relentlessly hammer this same message away for the next two years... it is the only way that voters will start to hear it.

She was first in her family to go to college.

She’d been in the U.S. since she was seven.

They grabbed at the airport on her way to surprise her family for thanksgiving.

They put her in shackles. Her ankles, her arms, and her waist.

If the Venezuelan sailors were enemy combatants, then the 2nd strike is a war crime.

If the Venezuelan sailors weren’t enemy combatants, then both strikes are criminal murder.

It’s that simple.

How bitterly the pundits resent Rachel Reeves budget. They did their best to destabilize the bond markets before and are still trying after .

Luckily for us , Rachel is not Truss. The bond markets like what they see.

There will be no Truss like collapse of confidence whatever Kemi says.

In March 2022, while Russian invasion forces were pouring into Ukraine, Farage was deeply concerned about the welfare of Russian oligarchs. Why was that? Is there something about Farage and Russia billionaires that the public ought to know about?

Two final points.

In 2019 Boris Johnson celebrated his General Election Victory with Alexander Lebedev

In 2022, Canada sanctioned Alexander Lebedev for being on of Putin’s inner circle

Just ponder that.
Since we released this @johnsweeneyroar.bsky.social documentary two years ago, more information has come to light that Boris Johnson went to this meeting to discuss a 'backchannel' to Putin with Alexander Lebedev, who was working for the Kremlin in Crimea at the time

There’s no sleaze, lies, or scandal.

There is all that in Reform UK Party Ltd, though.

Obviously the 4th Viscount Lord Rothermere doesn't want to pay mansion tax etc, and neither him nor Farage want a probe into Russian interference in British politics.
