Amazon has had many opportunities to create dubbing projects filled with authentic storytelling, emotional connection, and believability. Instead they have chosen to create AI slop dubs of Banana Fish, Vinland Saga, and No Game No life. Many are calling these dubs "insulting" and "disrespectful".

Episode 8 was hands down the best episode of Wandance so far. The pacing was great, the dance battles were so fun to watch, my boy Kabeya finally shows up, and you can really see how Kabo catches the beat when he dances and how much he’s improved as a dancer. Absolute god tier episode.

If you don't want gen AI in your manga, anime, game, and light novel translations, now is the time to make your voice heard. Write to your favorite publishers and developers and ask if they are incorporating LLMs into their process. And most importantly, tell them you will vote with your dollars.
As machine translation tools under the banner of AI become increasingly accessible and easy to use, the light novel landscape is at a crossroads. Do light novel publishers compromise their product for more speed, and if so, by how much?

Don't forget that Zohran Mamdani spent his entire campaign standing proudly beside the trans community. He went to trans rights rallies just to show support. He proudly waved trans rights flags without hesitation. He refused to back down in support of trans rights. That makes me happy.
