I remember when they first implemented the class in my school. Our teacher had only been in America for a short time so I felt flattered that she’d given me her surname (our last names started with the same letter) and my first name translated to “pretty girl”. 謝謝！

I studied Chinese in high school and college. I remember in high school my teacher picked our names and mine translated to “Pretty girl”. In college when I told my professor I studied and my 老師 had given me a name and I told her my name she started blushing and said ‘yes that’s a good name for you’
