Did he deserve to die? No.
Am I sad that he’s dead. Also, no.
It is clear from his statements and rhetoric that Charlie Kirk would not have mourned my own death regardless of how it occurred. I will not be forced to mourn a racist bigot.

Judge Crawford: I think that is exactly why Elon Musk is spending millions of dollars on these phony attack ads against me and trying to get Brad Schimel on the Supreme Court. We need to have a Wisconsin Supreme Court that’s working for the people of Wisconsin, not one that is working for Elon Musk

DEI wasn’t about hiring people just because they were a woman or black and brown, it was about the fact that through much of our history qualified people WEREN’T hired because they were a woman or black and brown. DEI is all about having competent people previously excluded. #dei #maga #trump
Already blamed DEI, Obama, and Biden. What an idiot.

Maybe, and it’s a big maybe, if the states got the money back they send to the Federal government they could cover themselves. But I don’t see Trump doing that. He’ll just enrich himself. I pay a lot more in federal taxes than state and would be fine with more of my money staying here.
Yet the song also reminds us that beauty can be reclaimed. The work of healing, of building a more just and unified nation, falls to all of us. The amber waves of grain and spacious skies are still here. The question is whether we will choose to live up to the ideals they represent.
America the Beautiful is more than a hymn—it is a call to action, a reminder of what we should strive to be. Trump’s presidency is a stark departure from that vision, a period of America the Ugly in which the country’s potential is marred by self-serving leadership, division, and cruelty
The Capitol insurrection on January 6, 2021, was the ultimate insult to the vision of America the Beautiful. That day, instead of the brotherhood we champion, the world saw violence, chaos, and an assault on democracy itself.
Finally, we must grapple with how Trump’s actions affect America’s reputation globally. America was a beacon of democracy and freedom. Under Trump, the US loses global trust. Erratic foreign policy—insulting allies while cozying up to Putin and Kim Jong-un—left our standing in the world diminished.
Trump’s presidency also clashed with the song’s reverence for the natural beauty of the nation. We marvel at the “purple mountain majesties,” yet Trump withdrew the United States from the Paris Climate Agreement and prioritizes deregulation over environmental protection.
A cornerstone of America’s greatness is its diversity—people of all races, religions, and backgrounds striving together to build a better future. But Trump’s presidency undermined this foundation. His Muslim travel ban, to be reimplemented, signaled to millions that their faith made them unwelcome.
The separation of families at the border—a policy that left children crying in cages—remains a dark stain on our history. Far from exemplifying grace, these actions mirrored cruelty. There is every indication we’re about to repeat this history, having learned nothing.
Consider the line, “God shed His grace on thee.” This phrase suggests a responsibility to act with humility and kindness in gratitude for the nation’s blessings. Yet Trump’s actions too often epitomized self-interest and disregard for others.
We envision a country where “brotherhood” reigns, while Trump sows discord. He derides political opponents, immigrants, and even allies with divisive language, branding entire nations as “shithole countries” and rallying supporters with chants like “Build the Wall.”
The song’s hopeful imagery conveys not only natural beauty but also an aspiration for justice, unity, and equality. Yet, in Trump’s presidency, we see an America far removed from this lofty vision. We are confronting an era of division, dishonesty, and cruelty.
Welcome to America the Ugly. The timeless lyrics to America the Beautiful, written in 1893, paint a picture of a nation striving for moral greatness—a land of “spacious skies,” “amber waves of grain,” and “brotherhood from sea to shining sea.” This week has been anything but beautiful.

Dems would get much more traction finding and promoting people saying what they know and experience.

What has more impact, This man speaking his mind or the Dems speaking “in unison “ ?
You guys need to see this and take it in…

Wise words from someone who is a target. And he’s been listening.
US used to lead, now we’re just following Russia.
End of day 1. Everything fixed yet?
