Important action!

Under pressure from transphobes, the University of Reading instituted one of the most draconian regimes of trans segregation in the UK just weeks after the SC ruling. We need to push back on this HARD.

Sign this and share widely.
Stop the Harm - Reverse the University of Reading’s Trans Exclusionary Policy Change
On 11th June 2025, the University introduced a policy that bans trans people from using single-sex spaces that match their gender identity. Trans staff and students are now expected to use facilities ...

J.K. Rowling is a menace to society whose anti-trans rhetoric is violent and encourages offline violence. Her telling people to take pictures of suspected trans women in bathrooms and disseminate them is sexual harassment. And it puts everyone in the women’s bathroom in danger.

Took a very worthwhile break from viva prep today to hear the brilliant Lydia speak about race-making in early modern civic performance today, something I’ve thought so much about in terms of my own festive perf. culture work but haven’t had the time to write much about! So many thoughts!
5th June, 2-3pm: 'Race-making in Early Modern Civic Performance', Dr Lydia Valentine
Civic shows were sites of identity formation where the performance of different cultures constructed distinct racial and national identities. Lydia Valentine explores how these led to a collective 'London' identity.
Race-Making in Early Modern Civic Performance
Throughout the 16th and 17th centuries, civic performance played a key role in shaping a collective identity for London’s residents.

Here's that story if anyone's interested in it www.washingtonpost.com/health/2023/...
the thing about the NYT releasing a podcast about trans healthcare is that if it’s not the story of how the alliance defending freedom captured the most influential liberal media outlet in the us and got it to provide a veneer of scientism to a bigoted religious crusade, what is it about?

I feel like most of my followers know this but because I see a lot of cis folks who have a specific blind spot for it:

This includes the theme park. I don't care if you want Butterbeer or want to get a wand or are already there so why not just walk in. It's all Her. Everything with the name is Her.
J.K. Rowling is using her wealth attained from the "Harry Potter" series to create an organization dedicated to removing transgender people's rights "in the workplace, in public life, and in protected female spaces.”
