It's time to make NYC's glass bus shelters safe for birds @MTA. This adult red-tailed hawk survived untold challenges in its year(s) of urban life only to be tricked by transparent glass. This bird was brought to the clinic but was too seriously injured to save.
We've received too many birds injured or killed at these shelters, especially hawks. This is so preventable with small markings — such as those already in place to prevent humans from doing the same.
