Right, I need help here. Been waiting an hour and a half for a medical appointment. We all know as soon as I go to the loo, they’ll call me. Is it worth the risk?

Yesterday, I went to the gym at lunch. First time I’ve lifted weights in years. Then I sat at my desk for 4 hours.

I am so paying for it today. 🤣

Hello.
Very personal, maudlin one today.

Wanted to share some things that helped me when dealing with grief:
* there’s no rule book; just many ways to grieve,
* grief isn’t linear,
* sometimes it feels like drowning. Find something to cling on to and just float. That’s enough for today.

At dog agility training. Lottie (huge, fluffy black puppy thing - not sure of breed), took the jump, ran through the tunnel, scampered off to the next field, jumped the barbed wire, sloshed through the swamp ditch and then came back.
8/10. Would watch again purely for the owner’s reaction.

The UK Government will send a test alert to mobile phones on Sunday. This is how to switch it off: www.gov.uk/alerts/optin...

Before anyone types before thinking: domestic abuse survivors may need this. If you don’t, just scroll on.

We have some of the most amazing, beautiful, supportive people in this industry. People who are ready to chat and be there even when you don’t think you need them (but apparently do). I feel so grateful and blessed.

Here, have a pic of this year’s first corn cob to celebrate friendship with me.

Here, have a pic of flowers from my garden. I don’t usually grow flowers. Just food.
I will now be growing both.

Imagine if, instead of war memorials, in every town and village, there was a memorial to all the victims of domestic violence from that place.
"One of the reasons the epidemic of violence against women is so unacknowledged is because cases like these are talked about individually, and often treated as though they are shocking aberrations rather than part of a pervasive pattern that operates at all levels of society."
The problem is far bigger than Jeffrey Epstein | Rebecca Solnit
Treating the scandal as an aberration misunderstands the global epidemic of violence against women

Okay team. We are on this. We’ve got this. We’re not shying away from this.

Our take on GenAI. And we’ll have none of the glittery hype, thanks very much. Just what we’re going to do.
Our founder, Sarah Winters cuts through the GenAI hype, confronting the hard truths and delivering practical guidance for content practitioners who need to work with these tools right now ...

How’s your morning going?

Spent several hours yesterday without internet. No wifi, 3/4g - nothing.

Was so strange.
Thought I’d cook: all recipes in the cloud.
Music and audio books, in the cloud.
Ways to communicate mostly need internet here, the reception is rubbish.

Today I will be analogue-ing my life.

Come to mine for a meeting. Leave with vegetables.

No-one gets to leave without vegetables. It’s now non-negotiable. Spinach, anyone?

Fighting with tech since 7am and an hour and a half on the phone to Vodafone. Think a post-work walk is in order. Poppies or beach walk? Frazzled brain can’t decide.

My dog has 3 clean, large, filled water bowls in my small house. Really, it’s not far for her to get water.

She’s drinking out of my glass currently.
