How can you hear from young people if you hold the hearing at a time when they are supposed to be in school?
🚨Important update on the juvenile curfew extension legislation: I am holding a public roundtable next Thursday October 30 at 10:30am to hear from the public about their experiences with the juvenile curfew and from MPD about how this tool has been effective in keeping our kids and communities safe.

Today at the Council hearing on @dcpublicschools.bsky.social, immigrant educators are testifying directly that DCPS is going back on direct assurances they made to them upon hiring by repealing the H1B visa pathway. We need @chmnmendelson.bsky.social to fix this in the budget and uphold DC values!
