I am very happy to be finding a lot of people I know on here. I do have some reservations about this platform that make me hesitant to go "all in" on it. I think the intentions of Bluesky Social, PBC are good, and the architecture is very innovative, but I'm worried about long-term prospects. 🧵

game genres are so fuzzy and confusing...what's an Action Adventure game?? what do you actually do in an RPG?? to fix this, i got together with loads of my lovely friends to create a much more descriptive classification system. all games can be neatly placed into the New Genres
a list of the New Genres which all games can be properly classified into. these are: "Clean-em-up", "Spreadsheet Simulator", "Infant-Saving Simulator", "9-to-5 Like", "Ladder Climber", "Gem Management", "Stroggification Game", "First-Person Game", "Spice World Clone", and "Myst".
