AI is being used in wacky ways. I doubt the AI folks fully know what is going in.

I doubt adding key words in hidden places will help. Most ATS have candidates upload their resume into a standardized format. The added words would get placed in odd places, which is not good.

If you have ambition for greater responsibility or promotion but your company will not budge, then it is time to move on to a new company location or an entirely new job. Hiring managers love external experience. Do not be surprised if you get a pay bump."

The tradition is to give two weeks of advanced notice, but I have seldom seen a company honor this.

This also applies to all situations where you are exiting the company (e.g., firing, furlough).

It almost always aligns with the end of a pay period. Consider this when giving notice. If you do not time it well, they may push you out the door in the span of days just to make it easier for the payroll department."

Someone (e.g., EU, Federal, state) is going to establish regulations. If not, it will be decided in the courts.

Buckle up. Things are just going to get weirder and/or more bleak for job searching until basic ground rules are set.

You will find it in application screening, reviewing/scoring interviews, skill assessments, etc. Even industry experts don’t know what will happen next. Regulation will eventually catch up. Until then, be prepared for a job search that ranges from odd to inhumane."
