I once ran into Charlie on the street in Pasadena, heading to the Wesco meeting. He tolerated my walking the final block with him. We chatted about Pasadena, and a little bit about the oddity of Wesco. He told me that it was likely to be the final Wesco meeting (it was).

No matter what happens, the Epstein Files are going to wind up on the Mt. Rushmore of forever conspiracies, alongside the grassy knoll shooter, fake moon landing, Trilateral Commission, 9/11 Truthers, etc. Questions about what remains hidden and which files were destroyed will persist for years.

Seeing a trollish flame-thrower suddenly discover empathy when it is they who is under distress is pathetic and somewhat fascinating. One wonders whether their cognition makes contact w/ irony. It's the lowest EQ, shittiest character people who care about "a thing" only when it's happening to them.

Do not break the rules that hold a republic together, because one day you will need order.

And do not destroy the opponents who respect those rules, because one day you will miss them.

I've been on a comp committee. Among other variables, the company's capacity to thrive without him (it was a him) was a significant part of measuring his performance. I'd be inclined to resign from a board where a CEO was essentially holding the company hostage for comp.

I come from a law enforcement family. Just and professional law enforcement deserves respect. Masked men who won't ID themselves operating in paramilitary units, unaccountable to city/state government, ain't it.

Of course, this was going to start happening.

Not a fan of a CEO being defensive over stock action; it reads immature, even naive. Especially when snarking at shorts or negative punditry. Markets are gonna market. Manage the business, not the tape. Not every defensive CEO has something to hide, but every CEO w/ something to hide is defensive.
