What’s left to say about GDT’s Frankenstein? It’s a masterpiece, the movie he was born to make. I came away from it especially impressed with Jacob Elordi’s performance. The emotion seething under all of that makeup is astounding. The love, the rage, the pain, the longing.

It’s really great to have a new Vince Gilligan show to gush over. Pluribus so far is incredibly fascinating and thoughtful. I have so many questions, and like any S tier show it’s got me thinking “is this right? What would I do? What are the ethics here?” Can’t wait to see how this season unfolds!

Too bad @patrickhwillems.bsky.social topic submission tournament wasn’t a week later. After seeing Back to the Future for the first time last night (yeah yeah, I know) and seeing that glorious opening and introduction for Marty, I would’ve submitted “The Art of Character Introductions”

I do wonder what was behind the decision to go in the complete opposite direction from PLA to PLZ-A. From ancient wild landscape to futuristic city, it’s an interesting choice. Sort of ties into the ideas of S/V with the past vs future themes of those games.

Pokemon Legends Z-A is a breath of fresh air much like Legends Arceus was. The new battle mechanics are really fun, customization is off the charts (for Pokemon) and Lumiose so far is interesting! The only thing I’m iffy about is the wild areas, wish I could just catch my mons in the wilderness
