The thing that is most devastating to me about the ongoing evisceration of the public health infrastructure in the U.S right is how little awareness of what's going on the majority of people in the general public have and the impact this will have on their health and safety.

So I went to the doctor today and I’m down 20 lbs and my BMI is down 8 points in the past 6 months. This is from diet changes alone. I haven’t been able to do much exercise as I had 2 fractures in that time period.

No word from CDC as Texas measles outbreak continues to grow. The CDC measles page hasn't been updated since Feb 7 so this outbreak isn't reflected. No MMWR report, no Health Advisory, no nothing. We are on a dangerous path.
Ten more measles cases—58 total—confirmed in Texas outbreak
The latest update includes a case from Lubbock County, pushing the number of affected counties to 5.
