Evidently there was an Auschwitz-themed float in a Halloween parade in Pennsylvania.

The float was for a Catholic school, and to their credit the church immediately disavowed it.

Thing is, I don’t think high school kids did this entirely on their own. I’m guessing parents had to be involved.

I asked at my local food bank yesterday and they said they welcome the food and it relieves the volunteers of shopping. So I vote--do either or both. Between Costco and Smart and Final $200 buys alot of staples.

I'm seeing a lot of folks going to places like Walmart to buy canned goods for food drives. It is better for the community to just donate that money directly to an organization and then they can buy cases of canned goods at steep discounts (sometimes even at or below cost)
