Also, not a single NPC in the expansion seems to sell the new cooking reagent.

WoD: still racking up new Ls eleven years after the fact.

Honestly, at this point it’s commitment to a bit.

the reason its bad to run universities like businesses is that almost all businesses fail on any reasonable timeline of evaluation.

hudson's bay made it the longest and even they only got to about half an oxford of longevity
They claim financial exigency, but then turn down $4 million pledges to keep the PhD programs open and disregard financial analyses that point to the real problem—bad real estate deals, spending on consultants, and their own salaries 2/2

Controlling Human Heredity by Diane B Paul is a good concise history. It shows when scientists realized it wasn't going to work at all but some kept at it for political reasons.
Historian of eugenics here. I don't normally like to retweet bad arguments, but this is such a fundamental misunderstanding of eugenics, I think it's important to point out. I don't have time to debunk all of the ways this is inaccurate, but I'll highlight a few things and then recommend some books🧵

A game where you can do anything and they’re mad that people are doing anything.

All of the UK is pretending that the UK secretly passed the equality act in 2010 that required a national bathroom ban along with a full ban of trans people from society and it was only discovered fifteen years later. It's obscene.

Can't wait for the "TurboTax sent me to jail" genre of post
TurboTax is about to be integrated into ChatGPT, where customers will be guided through tasks tied to their tax filings or financial profile by the AI chatbot.

TurboTax owner Intuit is also paying OpenAI more than $100 million a year to power AI agents.

Right, these are the two options: Either they tolerated Epstein's eugenics to get to the sex crimes or they tolerated his sex crimes to get to the eugenics
It seems like all of the rich and powerful people around him patronizingly tolerated the race science stuff (“he has such an inquisitive and childlike mind”) in order to get access to his harem of underage sex slaves
The Epstein stuff is always so amazing to me because it's like "yes he was a sex criminal but if you can get past that, he was also an avowed eugenicist"

The WSJ just platformed Colin Wright claiming "evidence backs the transgender social-contagion hypothesis." This is pseudoscience wrapped in statistical sleight-of-hand, published by a biologist with zero expertise in gender identity or clinical psychology. Let's dismantle this rubbish. 🧵

I emphatically did not opt IN to this and now I have to log in and opt OUT?

When you’ve already done a thing I not only disapprove of, but that also makes literally no sense?

Funny how things like “No Nazi tattoos” and “stop supporting genocide” are “purity tests” for centrist liberals.

Almost like you don’t actually believe in anything at all.
