#SalemMA is the host community for MassHire North Shore, our region’s workforce development agency. At today’s meeting of their board I talked about the role of the organization in strengthening our communities and their partnership with our cities, schools, and employers.

#SalemMA celebrates our veterans.

This Veterans Day we honored the service of our vets and active service members, as well as their families. I also announced a partnership with Soldier On, to ensure every Salem vet has a roof over their head. Together we can end veterans homelessness in our city.

Fairweather #SalemMA secures a $1M Climate Ready Housing grant to complete decarbonization of 127 affordable homes. Meeting our climate goals thru emission reductions and a healthier, cleaner building for those who live there.

Trump’s USDA doesn’t want to spend the taxpayer $ we gave them to feed Americans.

Today I joined local leaders across the nation in an amicus brief asking the court to tell them they must. Republicans should stop playing politics with food.

At tonight’s Affordable Housing Trust meeting we reviewed the progress made on our Housing Roadmap, and started prioritizing the work still to be done. Thanks to the Board members and the City of #SalemMA staff who keep this work focused!

Happy Nov 1, #SalemMA! City teams are putting together after-action reviews on October & how we can improve for next year.

Due to Friday Halloween this year, we’re expecting visitors to still be in the city for the next few days, so many public safety & other measures will be in place a bit longer.
