liquid glass tinted is a huge improvement over the release version in 26.1.

Settings -> Display & Brightness -> Liquid Glass -> Tinted

At least some things like notifications are legible again

Joe taught me a mini version of this course earlier in the summer and I’ve been quietly recommending his workshop pre-launch. He’s a great teacher and the workshop is full of all kinds of useful material.
1/7 I'm excited to share something I've been working on since April: build.ms/ai.

It began when @jeremyb.bsky.social came by and I told him I could teach him enough about AI in three hours to build his app idea. We didn't *quite* finish, but to quote him "I'm so grateful I've found this new hobby."

Feeling bad for anyone who loses their job these days. Amazon laying off 30,000 people is brutal.

How am I just discovering how great tab groups are? Also, someone told me this week you can now create similar groups in google docs, so you have a list of tabs in the sidebar? So handy! #TIL

Been following this dog for some weeks at Muttville. Hope he’s adopted soon!
This is X Factor. He has the most luscious locks of any hairless pup we’ve ever seen. Very impressive feat. 14/10 #SeniorPupSaturday (IG: muttvillesf)

Yesterday I attended a recording studio crawl hosted by the Audio Engineering Society. What an inspiring day! I saw spaces for recording podcasts, audiobooks, bands, and mixing film scores. Even a Foley pit and some high end Atmos setups. What a great day

Decided to update to iOS 26 and liquid glass makes notifications hard to read. Sure, there’s a reduce transparency accessibility setting, but that removes transparency throughout the OS. The default design is really a step in the wrong direction. Hopefully this is addressed in a future release.

This is a good and informative interview, both in describing AI’s limitations (“intuition” vs “calculation”) and its potential for harm.
"Power has really gone to the tech companies, who have enormous influence over the government. And unless people get out of their apathy, that’s ... certainly where the U.S. is likely to stay."

@garymarcus.bsky.social discussed what we need to do to prevent AI tools from undermining democracy:
