I honestly think the meaning is more life. Period. Our whole purpose isn’t just to be here but to foster more life. I’m not only talking having babies. I mean all life. The purpose of any being is tied to a huge ecosystem of mutually influential life.

Just finished The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula LeGuin, a classic sci-fi novel. I had a hard time getting into it because the prose was so unusual and not as clear as I was used to.
Now, I’m in love. Wow, what a fuckin’ book. There is a reason she is such a celebrated and revered author. ✨

Humans have lived rather successfully for thousands of years with literally no need for AI. Use of it is just going to exacerbate the issues we already have in the world like lack of critical thought, loss of jobs, misinformation, climate change, 24/7 workdays, billionaire rule etc.

I am, in fact, a woman refusing to use gen AI. Am - am I supposed to be ashamed of avoiding the theft and pollution lazy machine? I’m actually really quite happy to avoid it forever. It’s not something anyone with ethics and a love of learning is quiet about 🤣
