Faith that costs something: the Pope's challenge to comfortable Christianity

I want to stress here for journalists covering Kennedy and his goons that this war on public health is driven by big money.

The wellness industry is a massive, massive grift.
Mr. Kennedy said it’s an individual choice as to whether or not to vaccinate.

Then he and his minions started taking that choice away by making FDA approval of some vaccines impossible.

Imagine showing a petrol engine to someone who had only known electric vehicles, and trying to convince them to switch to petrol. No-one would choose the dirty, noisy, less efficient, more expensive vehicle. This isn't 1910, hostage to gender insecurity. We can just choose the better tech.

This is how our government has been corrupted:

1) Donors give huge sums to elect politicians to office
2) Elected officials rewrite rules in the donors' favor
3) Donors make huge profit
4) Repeat

We must get big money out of politics.

It is the root of our dysfunction.

I was once a senior public servant. FOI laws don’t discourage frank, fearless advice. They discourage BAD advice.

Bureaucrats mostly hate them (a lot) because they take up so much time. But it’s nothing to do with not wanting to be seen giving frank, fearless advice.
Labor is using robodebt to justify curtailing freedom of information laws. It's grubby, self-interested — and easily disproven.

The US citizens disdain of govt "handouts" using taxpayer $ to help make their lives better is mind boggling. They seem happy paying taxes for the govt to give to big corporations and billionaires.
