Actually, using inclusive language is good, supporting asylum seekers is good, being an empathetic person is good. I won’t be swayed on these truths because this degenerative capitalist society of ours thinks the wind is blowing the other way

Aston Martin have everything they need to be a serious competitor in F1, but can't help but feel 2026 might be a disaster
Adrian Newey will become Aston Martin’s F1 boss from 2026 as part of a management reshuffle that will see existing team principal Andy Cowell take on a new role.

Micheál Martin's persistent claims landlords will leave the market if regulation comes in always does my head in. Good! Maybe then they'll sell and someone that needs it can own a home they live in instead
A country with a housing shortage needs homes, not landlords.

Landlords of parasitical, draining wealth from renters and the state.

I’ve seen a few of these posters complain about Irish names. They can seem hard to spell or understand I guess if you did not grow up with them; which is certainly the case for many of these
what a surprise, majority of fash "Ireland is full" posts on shitter are from outside Ireland

Who cares what this lad thinks? Obviously a billionaire capitalist is gonna complain about regulations. We are under no obligation to listen to him at all. He’s already hoarding billions of euro of wealth to himself. I don’t think he particularly cares about what’s best for anyone other than himself
A briefing for the Taoiseach ahead of a 'fireside chat' with Stripe warned the company’s co-founder billionaire John Collison was likely to be critical of Ireland’s 'red tape'.

If Italy want to get to a first World Cup since 2014 they have to win at home to Northern Ireland and then away to either Wales or Bosnia. Wales/Italy would be a huge occasion

However far into the cesspit the UK government goes, we'll be right behind them. Inspiring stuff.
Justice and Migration Minister Jim O'Callaghan said he's committed to ensuring Ireland is 'not viewed more favourably than the UK by those seeking to claim asylum'.

His statement comes following proposed reforms to the UK's asylum practices

Yep, Simon Harris is all cranky cause people are describing his actions accurately. They can't have an actual debate cause they want flood the zone with lies, otherwise they would schedule a debate in that big huge debate chamber they have in Leinster House
It would be one thing having a "debate" on immigration if people meant they wanted a "debate" based on facts. But what most people seem to mean when they say they want a debate is that is they want us to pretend a bunch of entirely made up bullshit is true.
November 15, 2025 at 3:10 PM
This is the same rhetoric as Fine Gael and Fianna Fail btw
JD Vance: "A lot of young people are saying housing is way too expensive. Why is that? Because we flooded the country with 30 million illegal immigrants who were taking houses that ought by right go to American citizens."

There's no polite way to say this - if you still think Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael are capable of solving the housing crisis, you're a fucking moron.
90 seconds spent answering the question "what is a starter home" without once getting near answering what a starter home might actually be.

"Starter homes are absolutely crucial"
"People just want to get into their starter home"
"It's about having that right starter home"

Damn, guess we can’t do anything with our massive budget surplus that would help because it might take a while to do

Thank god we have very serious people like Fionnán Sheahan to tell us long-term planning is a fool’s game, unlike the short-term planning that is working so well for us now
🗣️ "We need a state construction company," says People Before Profit–Solidarity TD Richard Boyd Barrett.
"How many years would it take to set that up?" asks guest host Fionnán Sheahan.

Fionnán Sheahan interjecting about how long it's going to take is such nonsense. Oh yeah? May as well just continue doing nothing then, I suppose
🗣️ "It's nonsense for the government to say 'there's too many people here, Ireland is full' — no, actually we need people to help us build the houses," says People Before Profit–Solidarity TD Richard Boyd Barrett.
