John, a necessary medical abortion (or D&C) to save a mothers life is vastly different than a tubal ligation. A tubal ligation is to prevent a pregnancy; a D&C is to prevent a medical emergency or death of a mother experiencing pregnancy complications. Comparing the two is ignorant on your part.
