If you consider random NPC dialogue "boring and unimportant" and you're okay with relegating that to gen AI, frankly I can't trust that the rest of your narrative is any good either.

The easiest way to tell a roguelike is bad is if it has +10% Damage and +10% Critical Damage as the same level of upgrade

What's that? A silent, powerful protagonist is forcefully teamed up with an annoying twink that only speaks in B-movie tier dialogue that was already dated a decade ago, with his ineptitude putting himself in danger that the protagonist has to save him from?

I hate the 'this genAI is ethical because the voice actors agreed to have their voices fed into the database' argument, as if newcomers trying to get into an industry that's both super competitive AND criminally underpaid aren't going to be pressured into exploitative contracts by big studios
