Folks are frustrated with Dems in Congress right now.

Here’s my solution - get the hell out of DC and hold some hearings.

I love town halls, but we need to focus on people right now. Have folks come testify about how these cuts are affecting them.

Get local media there.

Make it real.

Literally have been telling this dude this for a very long time. Keep up, Chuck. Also: WTF are you going to do about it?
An unelected shadow government is conducting a hostile takeover of the federal government.

DOGE is not a real government agency.
DOGE has no authority to make spending decisions.
DOGE has no authority to shut programs down or to ignore federal law.
DOGE’s conduct cannot be allowed to stand.

It’s this simple. Thanks @aoc.bsky.social
AOC: I don’t care what Elon Musk is doing behind the presidential seal, but in this country we hate Nazis. Kind of like a foundational defining thing. Two of the foundational things about American history is that we beat the confederates and we beat the Nazis.

Did you tune out most of Inauguration Day? Waited a news cycle for the dust to settle on exec orders? I did. What crashed through was Musk’s Nazi salute — actually the most troubling image of the day. I’m new on Bluesky and can’t actually tell if the handful of posts I’ve written are even being seen

Whatever your line is — red, in the sand, whatever — a Nazi salute is forever wrong. Heads up, eyes up — this guy means what he does. It’s full on now.
No one has ever done this—TWICE—by accident. On camera. Before an international audience.

Again, I've lived a long time. I have never done a Nazi salute. My parents, uncles, in-laws, etc would have gone berserk.

I've seen this explained away as "autism." If so, keep him miles away from govt.

Today marks 4 years since one of the darkest days in #American history. When Democracy was tested at a level not seen since the #CivilWar Four years later, our Democracy will prevail once again today as it did on that day. We will once again have a #PreacefulTranaferofPower ##NeverForgetJanuary6th 🙏
This man and a small group of capitol police officers singlehandedly saved our democracy four years ago.

In November, 77 million Americans said "to hell with them" and voted for the insurrectionists.

Your "Back the Blue" flags are a pathetic disgrace and your patriotism is bullsh*t.

Kylie Kelce's new podcast has been #1 on Apple and Spotify for 10 straight days, knocking Joe Rogan from the top spot. She says her political views skew "aggressively left" and she doesn't care what Trump fans think of her. Here's a gift article: www.nytimes.com/2024/12/19/b...

It won’t be a blip on the news radar by midweek. Most of the hand-wringing was boring and self-absorbed, TBH. Let’s move on to the real threats. What do you say?
I think you could argue a bunch of different takes on the Hunter Biden pardon, clearly! People have!

But it seems *INSANE* to have dozens of stories and a fucking live blog on this given everything else that's so much more consequential happening right now.
