HUGE: Senate Parliamentarian says that Mike Lee's public land sell-off violates the Byrd rule, requires 60 votes in the Senate. A bunch of other terrible anti-environment provisions do too.

Montana has met and exceeded California's housing policy progress in just two sessions. In a decade, California has adopted only some of these reforms and in many cases required multiple sessions to get it done

- legalize 6-story apartments on most commercial land
- sharply cut multifamily parking mandates
- limit excess impact fees
- cut condo defect liability
- require equal treatment for manufactured homes
- legalize single-stair buildings up to 6 stories statewide

If the Fed capitulates to Trump (I don't think they will, nor should they) a cut in the Federal funds rate would ironically increase mortgage rates. This is because a cut would signal to markets that Fed independence is over, and hyperinflation is next.

This is true: The Trump administration said it has imposed a 10% tariff on the British Indian Ocean Territory, whose only inhabitants are the U.S. and U.K. service members at the military base on Diego Garcia.
Incredibly, this appears to be true. We tariffed our own (jointly operated with the UK) military base.
