I've been remiss and not done an introductory post.

I am one half of the Motoring Podcast, a weekly motoring news show. We also have extra episodes where we go into more details.

I will shout about cars, car software/security. Like to point out falsehoods around it all, no matter who says them.

Time to hit the road on the Cannoli-ball Run!
Oh man. So sorry to hear that.

The very best of luck for the future!

Ok Cannoli-ball run update time! We met Matteo on the roof of Lingotto, and he handed over our Piedmontese meal challenge!
Then it was time to get shopping for all the fabulous Italian ingredients in a very chic supermarket
I think you’ve oiled the gears for more fun. I’m sure everyone will be happy to hit top gear with the puns.
Yep. Thats what I mainly took from it, people with no integrity supported by the channels that publish their drivel.
He handles that well, also highlights an increasing element too, people happy to create utter tosh and drivel for no reason other than hopefully make money and “go viral”. It’s not just videos but organisations who publish “reports” full of lies knowing no one reads the details.

Integrity is key.
M’colleague sent me this video as he knew it would make me angry. He was right.

I agree with so much of what Chris says in this. Everyone needs to watch it and consider the broader points he’s making. Especially content creators.

Jonny is away and we forgot to record a Smith and Sniff OTOSOT before he went so I’ve hijacked today’s show and used it to read out extracts from my new book. Contains several euphemisms for testicles. Sorry. podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/s...

Are they not looking at the real world and what is ACTUALLY going on?

Also, they’ve missed off a big one, WE DON’T HAVE THE DISPOSABLE INCOME!!!!
Where is that from? The Government?

oh boy.

Bit of a long shot, but looking for someone who is living on a new housing estate and would be prepared to speak to a journalist about poor local access to fresh food.

Automated decision making is one of the least-known aspects of GDPR. It’s illegal unless a human sanctioned each decision.
Think landlords of houses that will require a big electrical upgrade to enable an EV charger will be delighted with that extra costs.

In reality can see rents increasing.

My diesel car is cheaper to run than any EV I have on EV test. It costs me far less to get over 400 miles range.

Last EV was £37 for 112 miles.
Fascinating thread.

Want to buy a Chinese EV then you can’t get the charger grant, only ECG vehicles are eligible.
Thanks for the thread. Illuminating. The Government finding news ways to over complicate things.

Still haven’t managed to work out how they work out when a car is eligible for the environmental element of the grant.

Outlet that has done deal with OpenAI publishes positive article about AI shocker.

If you didn't have them on it yet, add The Guardian to the "Untrusted Outlets" list you have got.
You know what, Nigel? Writer’s block isn’t really a thing. The real “block” is trying to survive in a capitalist system, in which creativity has been devalued & publishing taken over by managerial types who only understand productivity & see writers as “brands.” www.theguardian.com/business/202...

They've done a deal with OpenAI so you can't trust anything they write now, anyway. Totally unsurprising they published this.
