People around me describing brain fog, memory issues and "I just got into jogging again, why am I sick again?" (Spoiler: it's PEM) but when I ask them to consider that it could be LC and maybe try pacing, they get real defensive.

Because they are fine! THEY are not bedbound! Everything is fine!

"The evidence has been building for years and has been consistent; COVID causes brain damage.

Despite the clear evidence, we’ve continued to infect the population, not once, but repeatedly, with no plan to end the onslaught of reinfections."

I have fairly mild long COVID and what that means in practice is that I can work but have no ability to socialise, I can do 5000 steps but have to come home with crushing fatigue and sleep for hours to recover, I volunteer for two hours a fortnight when I used to do volunteer work every day.
