📽️ DEADPOOL AND WOLVERINE (2024)
★★★★½
Absolute blast that had the balls to dig at Marvel's loss of audience good will, while still paying off on DECADES of their film history.
Great action, laugh-out-loud jokes and shocking cameos made for one of the best times I've had watching movies all year.

📺 THE BOYS (SEASON 4)
★★★½
Enjoyable but somewhat lacking superhero send-up that felt long-in-the-tooth in a way the three previous seasons never did.
Still as gross-out and ultraviolent as ever (and indeed, that's ultimately why we're here, isn't it?)... but I fear this show may have shot its wad.

📽️ LATE NIGHT WITH THE DEVIL (2023)
★★★½
Unsettling horror film with great performances and gritty stylistic period cinematography that made for a fun watch, despite disjointed pacing and some clunky sequences.

📽️ SPLINTER (2023)
★★★
Great and engaging concept that is unfortunately let down by clunky framing and strange dialogue choices.
Definitely enjoyed parts of it and look forward to seeing more of this world and this filmmaker... but I had higher expectations for this than what it delivered.

📽️ THE FALL GUY (2024)
★★★★
Surprisingly tight action-mystery-thriller-romcom that throws everything at the viewer, and somehow makes most of it stick.
Fun and effortlessly charming... although having a beautiful cast who drip charisma certainly helps.
Really enjoyed this one!

THE BOY AND THE HERON (2023)
★★★★
Grotesquely beautiful & thoughtful final (?!) Miyazaki outing that explores reluctant succession and the regrets a creative has entering their waning years.
Unique, yet familiar in style; with fully realized worldbuilding & clinical, painstakingly done animation.

📺 ATLANTA (SEASON 1)
★★★★½
Quirky, clever & well-shot character study with biting social commentary, amazing surrealist sequences & phenomenal performances.
Been holding off on this, knowing I was in for something special... and had all expectations exceeded.
I love this!
Can't wait to see more.

📽️ FURIOSA: A MAD MAX SAGA (2024)
★★★★
Gorgeous Max Max prequel that surprised, despite feeling familiar to the point of echoing other entries in the Max universe.
Not as breakneck-paced as Fury Road... nor should it be.
Still nuts.
It's unfortunate this bombed, I would've loved more of these.

📽️ DEAR SANTA (2024)
Tryhard "comedy" that takes the simplest of premises and fails at every turn.
Weak writing, stale and hackneyed (adult) performances, uninspiring production design.
A first rate script that feels as though it was written by Chat GPT and never punched up.
A huge disappointment.

Proud to be raising my daughter with the knowledge that the United States are our enemy and should never be trusted.

Trump's damage is generational and we'll never forgive them for that.

Reposting this, because of COURSE Smith and her cronies used the notwithstanding clause again.
Me looking for the Freedom Convoy to react to Alberta using the Notwithstanding Clause to infringe on the rights of unionized workers:

I legitimately can't wait for Wicked to come out so I'm never subjected to another cringefest interview with Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande again.

The right wing is really trying to move the Epstein goalposts now.

Both Megyn Kelly and Alan Dershowitz have tried arguing that Epstein wasn't a chomo in the last 24 hours.

Yes, you vile and disgusting PEDO-POLOGISTS, he very much so was.
And so is his friend, Donald Trump.

YFW you demand the release of the Epstein files... but they just end up being a bunch of emails alleging your dad blew Bill Clinton.
