Made vegan mac & cheese for the first time. The recipe I kind of followed mentioned hot sauce and worcestershire sauce. I was hesitant to add a lot but I did try it out...not bad.

I said I'd appreciate it if the doctor followed up with me before our appt in over 2 weeks. This is anxiety provoking to call me with this information and tell me to wait over 2 weeks for this one question.

She claims she will pass the message along. But I'll be sending a message via the portal.

Received a call from the doctors office following the ultrasound I requested ahead of a surgery consultation for my fibroid.

They called to tell me it's the size of a grape. So I asked would that change the current surgical procedure. The woman says thats what the appt with the doctor is for.

Cannot wait for our local elections to be over.

Our town could very well turn red. Its wild. One of the mayoral candidates has 0 city government experience.

People have been reaching out to me asking who they should vote for.

She also lives in a different city, so the fact that she is willing to come 30+ minutes away, means a lot. I don't take that lightly.

Grateful for the support I receive when I'm feeling defeated. My daughters therapist asked to come with me to the school because they are asking me to meet with the principal and vice principal.

I gladly accepted her offer because I would not have thought to even ask her.

I'm trying to make sure my child has a better school experience. So now I've looped in the Superintendent and every body else. I'm tired and the first quarter isn't even over.

Another teacher who thinks he's running a damn military school and gives 0 credit if work is even 1 day late. Jesus Christ. My daughter is failing a class she was excited about prior to the year beginning.

This guy has something to prove and couldnt wait to tell me he has an engineering degree.

Why do I feel like I'm asking for a lot to have just an ounce of grace for her.

Already one teacher thinks she can play with my daughter and slap her hand. Ma'am I just sat in a 504 meeting with you a week prior and explained the traumatic experiences shes had from prior schools.

Being an active parent is so crazy sometimes. I do my best to be super level headed when I have to deal with my daughters teachers. But inside I'm ready to crash out at any moment.

Being a community advocate can have its moments.

Especially when you're organizing and the people who appear to be for the causes of the betterment of Black people say things like "oh I wasn't trying to get too involved."

It disappointing. But we keep it moving without them.
