and it's done, inktober has come to a close. i decided to make an extra large piece for the final day, to celebrate. i like it but i'm honestly not fond of the colours, i think i should have gone back to the warm greys, but it was fun regardless, and that's why i do inktober. it's fun.
i usually draw these two with patched up clothes, but this time i simplified the design to emphasise the posing and shadows, but i think i accidentally created a reason why the clothes needed patching.
so i just realised, this is the first time i've ever publicly shown a drawing with these 3 ocs, and like, 2 of them are in casual outfits i had to make up on the spot, and all 3 are intentionally drawn in a hectic uncomfortable style.
also i looked into this, apparently the writer and co-director was the director for puss in boots last wish, why doesn't the discussing film tweet mention that?
it's a good sign though, that film had a great vision.
i was gonna draw ishinomori's skullman, but i haven't actually read that oneshot, so instead i drew my old sona for the first time in 2 years. how nostalgic.
so in some japanese media there's a mild connection between onions and knights, and nobody knows why because this started with the final fantasy 3 job onion knight, and the devs don't remember why they called them that, but hey they look cool.
