The systems causing collapse aren’t inevitable. We can build interspecies communities rooted in liberation, care, justice, and interdependence.

Let’s make something better—together. ✋ 🐾 🌍 💚
Even w/ little money or space, a second freezer can be a powerful #CollapseResilience tool. Our chest freezer doubles as a prep space/drying rack and lets us save money, cut waste, eat better & store food for security, mutual aid, or barter.

What does food resilience look like for you?✋ 🐾 🌍 💚
Building strong relationships is some of the hardest & most vital work for cultivating collapse resilience & creating a world that centers the wellbeing of people, animals & the planet. Finding common ground, leading w/ curiosity & practicing grace help us grow communities of transformation.
#CollapseResilience Challenge: Cancel your paid streaming & take back your power. Corporations rely on our complicity. Save $, reduce energy, support libraries/community efforts & spend more time on meaningful living. What will you do w/ your extra time & money?✋ 🐾 🌍 💚
When Audre Lorde wrote this, she was talking to Black people about their role in actively working for liberation. Her powerful words are relevant to all of us striving to defeat fasc1sm and build mutual aid and #CollapseResilience.

No one is coming to save us. It’s up to us.✋🐾🌍💚
I read a lot of #CollapseFiction —it’s oddly soothing (some people stay kind even in chaos) & full of survival lessons. I’ll start sharing my favorites. First up: Tilt by Emma Pattee—a gripping, realistic look at “The Big One” hitting Portland. If you read it, tell me what you think! ✋ 🐾 🌍 💚 📘
A friend turned a closet into essential food storage. We’ve added shelves in odd spaces, thrifted a pantry & swapped a treadmill for a chest freezer. Even small homes have hidden storage spots for #CollapseResilience: closets, walls, under beds. Scan your home for options & tell us what you find.
#CollapseResilience means not just going about our business.

We can’t control the systems of collapse, but we can control our choices and how we show up for each other. And we can build better systems founded on compassion, justice, mutual aid, and solidarity for all beings. ✋ 🐾 🌍 💚
We’ve been making & freezing applesauce & freezing other produce we’ve grown or gotten for free. #CollapseResilience means making the most of the food around us. Even w/o a garden, you can find neighbors, gleaning groups, or community gardens sharing abundance. Freezing food = food security.
Tasks include:
💊 Researching reputable lists, strategies & sources for responsibly stocking up
💊 Asking your doctor/vet for 60–90 day prescriptions
💊 Refilling on the earliest eligible date to build a buffer
💊 Buying extra OTC items you regularly use
💊 Having the most essential meds in a grab-and-go
Stable access to essential medications is becoming more uncertain. Fascist policies strip away healthcare protections. Tariffs, climate chaos & corruption disrupt global supply chains.

This week’s #CollapseResilience Challenge: stock extra medications for yourself, your kids & your pets. 🧵 (1/2)
A new data analysis of media coverage shows that less than 4% of climate news stories mention animal agriculture as a key source of climate emissions. Shifting to plant-based agriculture is one of the most important individual & systemic choices we can make for #CollapseResilience.
Meat is a leading emissions source – but few outlets report on it, analysis finds

Fascists want us to believe empathy is weakness. But empathy is resistance + liberation. The US's foundation of capitalism, white supremacy, patriarchy, & speciesism normalize cruelty. Let’s build interspecies communities of care + mutual aid as a strike against cruelty & domination. ✋🐾🌍💚
Collapse isn’t one sudden event. It’s the breakdown of systems built on capitalism, white supremacy & endless extraction. The ecological destruction, violence, political chaos & economic hardships are all connected. Resilience means rejecting those systems + creating new ones based on mutual care.
#CollapseResilience Challenge: Keep key documents (IDs, medical records, insurance, financial info, pet info, etc.) stored in both print + digital forms, in multiple safe places. Have them ready for when you need them. Search online for credible lists of what to store.✋ 🐾 🌍 💚
Cooking beans from scratch + making homegrown tomato sauce + freezing them = steps toward
✅Building #CollapseResilience
✅Saving money
✅Relying less on vulnerable systems
✅Living our values.

What resilience steps are you taking in your kitchen?✋ 🐾 🌍 💚
"Let us remind ourselves of the lessons of the good German. To sit there and avert one’s eyes. To pretend to one’s self that 'everything will be OK,' ...To cheerily smile, even as the Gestapos check papers, the men with guns patrol the streets, and the dictator shakes in a more demented...fury."

💧#CollapseResilience Challenge: map nearby surface water sources in your neighborhood—streams, lakes, swimming pools, water features, water heaters. Always filter + sanitize before drinking. Small steps now build survival + community strength later. ✋ 🐾 🌍💚
Your #CollapseResilience Challenge: Build a simple hygiene kit for when systems fail.🚽Include:

🪣 5-gal buckets + lids
💺 Toilet seat
🌲 Shavings to cover waste/odor
🧼 Soap + sanitizer
🧻 TP or other eco-friendly wipes
🧤 Gloves + trash/compost bags
#CollapseResilience means remembering: our economic, healthcare, food, transportation & other systems aren’t set in stone. They were built—and can be rebuilt.

We can choose cooperation, care, and community over profit + exploitation.

Let's start with our daily choices.✋ 🐾 🌍💚

🌲Protecting forests & other ecosystems is vital for #CollapseResilience.

The USDA is trying to rescind the 2001 Roadless Rule, which currently protects ~45 million acres of our most wild & intact forests from new road-building, logging, mining & other destructive industrial development. 🧵(1/2)
Collapse prep often assumes animals exist to be used. But oppression of animals, people, & planet is the same system. True #CollapseResilience means rejecting exploitation & embracing animals as interspecies partners in creating a future rooted in justice, care, and survival for all. ✋ 🐾 🌍 💚
The second part offers suggestions for building community and mutual aid. Both are worth reading to determine what you can apply to your own situation. ✋🐾🌍💚
