Just wanted to pin my climate group, Citizens Climate Lobby. We do a lot of work to build support for climate solutions in my area, as well as things like trash pick up. Just trying to make our little world a bit better, one conversation at a time!

Publish it again. Every journalist who has published Epstein stuff before should just publish it again.

Yesterday, Maurene Comey, who prosecuted the Epstein case, was summarily fired from SDNY. Her letter to colleagues pulls no punches. "Fear is the tool of a tyrant, wielded to suppress independent thought."

If you’d told me a decade ago that the NYT and WaPo would roll over for a Republican president going full fascist while the Murdoch-owned Wall Street Journal went on the attack — and that Bill Kristol was pressing the attack harder than Nancy Pelosi — well, I’d have had you committed.

This is theft. These reports belong to the American people - they should be easily accessible by all.
Today NASA backtracked on its statement earlier this month that the National Climate Assessments would be hosted on their website.

“NASA has no legal obligations to host globalchange.gov’s data,” a spokeswoman said today. “We never did and will not host the data.”www.nytimes.com/2025/07/14/c...re

my friend Coral

Coral is a young goliath grouper, resident to a reef in the Florida Keys.

There were once countless groupers here, of all different species. They’ve been hunted nearly to extinction.

Like the few living coral formations on her reef, she survives here in spite of us.

The Texas flood is another example of a rain event, that statistically, happens once every 500-1000 years in this location. 15-20” of rain in 12-24 hrs meets threshold in this part of TX
Estimate is limited by historical record and these rare events happen in various localized places each year. 1/

This is bullshit.

Not only do ICE bounty hunters refuse to identify themselves, they won’t say where they’re taking the people they’re kidnapping.

Deliberately shuffling detainees from facility to facility so families can’t find them & they miss their chance at legal counsel.

The fact we have secret police whisking people off the streets doesn’t get enough attention. It ain’t normal and we’re further down the road to authoritarianism than you think.

No matter what happens in D.C. focus on local elections.

Sheriffs, commissioners, judges, school boards, tax collectors - they all matter.

Every election is the most important election.

Want to plant trees to offset fossil fuels? You'd need all of North and Central America, study finds
Planting trees can help save the planet, right? A new study finds that to offset all the planet-warming carbon emissions from fossil fuel reserves, trees would have to entirely cover an area the size ...
