This picture of the SS United States is hauntingly beautiful. I suppose life as a reef isn’t the worst fate. But, is the gradual decay and loss of the ship a metaphor for the country’s current state? Maybe.

While it’s easy to be cynical about 80’s cartoons in particular being glorified toy commercials, the voices of those heroes resonated with me then and now. Rest in peace He-Man.

Fortunate to end the weekend with power and heat again. The dogs were not thrilled to venture out during the end of the storm for their bio breaks.
