Two thoughts today; the first is that I’m kind of proud having raised my kids so they don’t understand bigotry. It just leaves them wondering if they’ve missed something. Nope, it’s that stupid. The other is that because of light pollution my children have never seen the Milky Way.

What I want white house correspondents to do more than anything: when he melts down over a question, everyone repeat that same question until there is a serious answer or he storms off.

I would love to believe people are capable of growth. Yet for those who are falling away from supporting the administration, what changed?
Tell me how you’ve grown because most of them are just upset that it hurt them, they’d still vote the same way if it just wouldn’t hurt them.

I think at this point we all have an IP which because of the author’s problematic/grotesque nature we’ll not partake of again.
But what if the IP could be separated from the author?
What would it take for you to consider getting into that IP again?

My son and I were down in the basement dealing with homeowner issues. His hands are so unmarked by life as of yet. I wonder if I should be glad that I’ve been able to provide a life so kind or guilty that he has no callus to face the world with?

I wonder what happens to all of the cultists when he is gone?
Does the whole movement implode? Do they move on to the next person who tells them being awful is ok?

I can’t stress this enough. Seeing a Van Gogh in person is TOTALLY different thank as an image. The depth of the paint (not the color, he really loaded the brush) creates subtle shadows that make the subject’s “ness” so much more.

We don’t have enough money to house the homeless but we have enough to employ roving gangs of people to arrest them.

Think about how many things aren’t deal breakers for Trump supporters.
At this point I have no problem viewing them as latent criminals waiting for a chance to commit their preferred crime without being held accountable.

How does automation create more jobs? It is by definition the elimination of work and jobs.

Whenever I see a Republican say something about being anti Trump my first thought is, who did you vote for? Whose policies did you support?

RFK asking AOC “how did I do that,” with his budget should be the reason to remove him. Every time one of these bad faith post truth people start stonewalling they should be asked if they understand that we know they’re lying and obfuscating.

Maybe there are crimes that shouldn’t be allowed plea bargaining.
Maybe there are crimes you shouldn’t be allowed to plea guilty to.
Maybe it’s time that some felonies get tried no matter what. You don’t get to go to jail quietly and the state must prove its case.

When this is over, I would like to see the USPS rebuilt with the funding it needs. I always took the mail for granted until I saw places where mail wasn’t guaranteed.
