If they're ever in London, the drinks are on me.
I liked that, thanks. She's right - the "men aren't emotional" argument is an absolute shocker in our present age!
I made some...ambitious choices, the world pushed back, and another anarch player went full chaotic/evil and rolled well!
Hadn't heard of Eurostack! Love it and will try and do my bit!
Absolutely - last vampire: the masquerade session, my ventrue character got everything he ever wanted, proceeded to publicly and completely f**k it up, watched his dreams disappear and decided to just run away. It hit home on some big "ME" emotions...
Agreed. We simply have to develop our own continental tech infrastructure, based on common standards, interoperating with AWS and the like. While we're at it, I feel like a non-Meta-owned European encrypted messaging service would also be sensible... (๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿผ WhatsApp)
I think doing so could necessitate a reorientation of the House of Commons chamber from two opposing banks to a horseshoe. Architecture that emphasises collaboration, not combat.
I'm certainly enjoying positive news companies like RocaNews and the Fix the News newsletter, but perhaps it's a survival mechanism - people want to be aware of problems so they can either avoid or fix them. Unfortunately it's easy for outrage to become the dominant emotion...
Gosh, what happened to the green vote here??

I think this is a tragedy for the CofE. It means they are still a long way from where the country of which it proclaims it is the national church is on gay marriage. How should gay people, or those of us who have gay friends or family members, think of an institution which doesn't respect them?

Spotify's algorithm inexplicably pushing me far right content platforming a convicted criminal. I'm too @libdems.org.uk for this... ๐Ÿคฎ
I believe in public ownership of the assets. But I also believe that a competitive market of contractors should bid to manage them. This model works well in France and Germany (although more of Germany is directly publicly administered).
From @bylinetimes.bsky.social - @markpackuk.bsky.social asked a Q about this - gov has not reviewed their X policy since April 2023, pre-Trump 2...
Great work everyone. I spoke to a German water board worker last month who couldn't believe we allow private companies to own all our infrastructure. In Germany, private companies only maintain the assets, don't own them.
I read it on the eurostar today - immediately subscribed!
When will they learn that using "chainsaw" and "assault" language does not inspire confidence in meaningful, thought-through reform...
The tone of this is so sad. It's just fanning the flames of animosity and not fixing anything.
X is not the industry standard, single option the gov thinks it is!
I was in Berlin last week, chatting to a water guy. The public own the assets. The assets are operated by contractors in a competitive, low profit market. It works. We should seize our assets.
