Christopher Pederson, president of the #SanFrancisco chapter of the League of Conservation Voters, called San Francisco “the most environmentally appropriate place for multifamily housing in the entire state.”

America's environmental movement is changing -- for the better.☺️

I wonder why underground SF Muni Metro stations aren’t being identified as Tier 1 stops under SB 79. They have fixed rails, separate ROW from which other vehicles & foot traffic are excluded & have high platform loading. They also arguably have high speed & rapid acceleration in tunnel.

Excellent article about important court decision laying bare the unconstitutionality of the Trump regime's efforts to use immigration enforcement as tool for squelching free speech.
NEW: Judge William Young's ruling against Rubio and Noem is a lesson for all in the Trump era.

Young lays bare the unconstitutionality of the Trump administration's student deportation efforts — and issues a challenge to America.

in light of the kimmel news, just a reminder that a few days ago a prominent fox news host literally called for killing homeless people. right afterward, someone shot up a couple homeless encampments.

that fox news host still has his job.
Brian Kilmeade endorses euthanizing homeless people: "Involuntary lethal injection, or something. Just kill them."

Trump is an absolute disgrace. Glad at least one Democratic leader has the guts to stand up to him.
The President of the United States is threatening to go to war with an American city.

This is not a joke. This is not normal.

Donald Trump isn't a strongman, he's a scared man. Illinois won’t be intimidated by a wannabe dictator.

A pre-dog-walk 🧵 on the pandemic.

To me, the lesson of the pandemic is a very familiar one, although as far as I can tell, no one is talking about it or learning it (which is also familiar). It's about the contrast between America's two political parties.

On the 24 bus in the Castro. On one block, a double-parked Waymo blocked the bus. When bus tried passing it, waymo finally starting moving, but cut off the bus. Next block, a human-driven car double-parked and again blocked the bus. Cars are a plague.

When it comes to Ukraine, Trump apparently wants to go down as the Neville Chamberlain of our times.
Translation: “I surrender.”

Trump is proposing to give Putin what he wants: More Ukrainian territory in exchange for a meaningless promise by Putin not to invade Ukraine or any other European country.

Trump is effectively a Russian asset.

A woman, holding onto the hood of an ICE SUV, was thrown off.

In the space of 5 minutes I saw two drivers try to make illegal left turns from the right-hand lane by cutting in front of a light-rail train in the left-hand that was about to go straight thru the intersection. Both cars were Teslas. What’s wrong with these people?
