Introduction time. Hi all, I write horror, mostly of the supernatural or cosmic varieties, sometimes with some SF. Not a great fan of the 21st century so far and so I've been escaping by writing novels set in 1970s London. I have the bare bones of a website at www.christopherhendersonhorror.com
One more day until this is unleashed upon the world... #horror
I'm so pleased - and pleasantly surprised, if honest - by the advance reviews for Strowg on Goodreads:

A heartfelt thank you to those in the #WritingCommunity who take the time and trouble to support indie authors.

Oh, why did you have to spoil ‘Late Night With the Devil’ by forcing it into a found-footage straitjacket? Completely took me out of the movie when I realised the impossibility of some of those scenes having been captured on film. Such a shame because I was really enjoying it until then.

Some vintage sci-fi/horror for me this evening, watching FIRST MAN INTO SPACE (1959). Clearly influenced by The Quatermass Xperiment, but I wonder if this film in turn helped to shape later stories about UFO-related cattle mutilation and even the Chupacabras?

This has been calling to me for months and I’m finally giving in: going to revisit the Belgariad, and hopefully rediscover some of the magic I found there four decades ago.

Locking the doors, slowing the pace, and settling in to escape this hideous 21st century for a while. Tonight’s film is Demons of the Mind (1972).

Happy Birthday, Steve!
Day twenty one of #canadianhorrormonth!
I'm being a bit cheeky today with this one, as it's my birthday 😂! So...

See any faves in this one?!

The problem with taking books off shelves to do some cleaning is that you rediscover so many you want to reread!

COVER REVEAL

@amshine.bsky.social is back with a haunting, atmospheric modern Gothic horror tale based on traditional Irish mythology.

Ancient evil is awakened on a lonely isle off the coast of Ireland.

Well, that was bleeding marvellous! Only took me half a year to get around to watching it, but it was worth the wait.

Can you hear it? Is this mysterious hum a gift for the chosen few – or the soundtrack to a living nightmare? Provocative, haunting drama starring Rebecca Hall.

Having a bit of a tidy-up and have just found my old Starblazers! Must have boxed these up decades ago. Tidying may need to wait a while longer now 😁

I'm quiet on the outside but on the inside this is what I scream
Why is it acceptable to tell quiet people that 'they need to be more sociable', but not acceptable to ask noisy people to 'please, for the love of God, shut up'?

Asking for me, because ffs.

Surely horror has to be one of the best genres for an audiobook?

Book Review: S.P. Miskowski's 'If You Knew Me' is a taut, nerve-wracking, propulsive thriller that'll have you racing to the end. Thank you so much, S.P. for sending me a digital ARC!
This was phenomenal!

Was clearing out a drawer earlier when I found a souvenir bookmark I lost over 30 years ago. It’s silly, but I’m absolutely delighted to have this back. A little strip of old leather infused with some of the fondest memories of my schooldays.
