Our study on use and discontinuation of GLP-1 receptor agonists before and in early pregnancy was published today in JAMA. We owe it to our patients to begin the hard work of safely and rigorously delivering the advances in novel therapeutics for management of weight and glycemia to pregnancy.
#GLP-1 receptor agonist exposure with discontinuation before or during early #pregnancy was associated with greater gestational weight gain and increased risk of preterm delivery, gestational #diabetes, and hypertensive disorders.
